Catch Up on Everything from ARIN 56
ARIN 56 was held 30-31 October in Arlington, Texas, and online. If you were unable to attend, missed a session, or would like to refer back to anything that was shared, you can view the ARIN 56 Meeting Report, which includes videos, transcripts, presentations, and daily recaps. And a big thank you to everyone who participated in making the meeting a success!
We’re already gearing up for ARIN 57, which is scheduled for 19-22 April 2026 in Louisville, Kentucky. Registration will open soon, and we hope to see you there either virtually or in person!
Take ARIN Academy’s New IPv6 Planning Course
Wondering where to start with IPv6 or what the right size block is for your organization? Head to our free, interactive e-learning platform, ARIN Academy, to take the new IPv6 Address Planning Basics course. It will help you better understand IPv6 address planning, block sizes, and how to plan for your organization’s growth.
IPv6 Address Planning Basics joins our other two courses — “Getting Started with ARIN” and “Using ARIN’s Hosted RPKI” — in the ARIN Academy platform, which provides on-demand, self-paced modules for the ARIN community.
Prepare for 2026 Fee Schedule Changes
The ARIN Board of Trustees has adopted a new Fee Schedule, which will be in effect on 1 January 2026. More information about the new Fee Schedule can be found in our announcement to the community. To view 2026 Registration Services Plan fees for your organization, please see our 2026 Fee Schedule.
Read About ARIN’s Holiday Food and Toy Drives
This holiday season, ARIN proudly continued its tradition of supporting families in need by organizing food and toy drives in partnership with local nonprofit Northern Virginia Family Service. Read the blog post to learn about the initiative: ARIN’s 2025 Holiday Food and Toy Drives Bring Joy to Local Families.
Reminder: General Member Voting Requirements and Reclassification
General Members are required to vote in ARIN Elections at least once every three years to maintain their status. After each annual election, General Members that did not cast a ballot in any of the previous three ARIN Elections revert to Service Member status. On 19 November 2025, ARIN reclassified 259 General Member organizations that did not cast a ballot in the 2023, 2024, or 2025 ARIN Elections.
If your organization is interested in participating in ARIN Elections, visit our Membership page to learn how you can request or reinstate General Member status (if your organization is current on all invoices) using your ARIN Online account.
ARIN 57 Fellowship Program Applications Open 8 January
Are you interested in meeting other members of the ARIN community, learning about policies on the docket for ARIN 57, receiving mentorship by a member of the ARIN community, and more? Applications will be open 8-26 January for this spring’s Fellowship Program, which includes virtual sessions before the ARIN 57 meeting in Louisville, Kentucky, and Fellows will be selected to attend the meeting either virtually or in person at the discretion of the Fellowship Selection Committee.
In the meantime, check out this blog post for a deeper introduction to the program and the ARIN community members providing mentorship and guidance to participants. Need more reasons to attend? Read 10 shared by past fellows.
