ARIN's Refreshed Logo: Honoring Our Past, Embracing Our Future
For 24 years, ARIN’s logo has been a constant presence in the Internet governance community. It’s appeared on our website, in our communications, at meetings across North America and the Caribbean, and in countless presentations. It’s been with us through the depletion of IPv4 address space, the ongoing transition to IPv6, and the evolution of Internet routing security.
Today, we unveiled our refreshed logo — and we’re excited to share the story behind it.

Why refresh after 24 years?
The decision to refresh our logo came from a desire to align our visual identity with how ARIN has evolved over the past two decades. While our mission has remained constant, the way we communicate and engage with the community has transformed.
“When we started discussing a logo refresh, the conversation kept coming back to consistency and clarity,” said Chief Operating Officer Richard Jimmerson. “ARIN has continuously adapted to better serve our community and meet the Internet’s evolving needs. The three arrows in this new design capture something essential about who we are: an organization representing three distinct regions, always moving forward together.”
Over the years, we’ve developed cohesive branding for our Public Policy and Members Meetings. We’ve modernized our digital presence and streamlined our communications. The time felt right for our logo to reflect this evolution while honoring the foundation we’ve built.
What the Design Represents
Every element of the refreshed logo was chosen with intention:

Three Arrows
The most distinctive feature of our new logo is the three right-pointing arrows. They carry powerful dual symbolism:
Regional Representation: The three arrows represent the three geographic areas within ARIN’s region: Canada, the United States, and the countries in the Caribbean and North Atlantic that we serve. Each arrow stands for one area, visually reinforcing that ARIN encompasses a diverse, multi-national community.
Forward Movement: The right-pointing arrows symbolize progress, direction, and momentum. They represent ARIN’s mission to move the Internet forward by supporting its growth and stability. This forward-pointing design reflects our commitment to looking ahead while remaining grounded in our core purpose.
Visual Alignment
The refreshed logo aligns with our Public Policy and Members Meeting branding, using the same font and underline format to create visual consistency across ARIN touchpoints. We’ve streamlined the design by removing the full organization name, creating a more versatile mark that works seamlessly across digital platforms, in print, and at various sizes.

More Than a Visual Update
While this refresh is about visual identity, it’s also an opportunity to reflect on what ARIN represents. The logo isn’t just a mark — it’s a symbol of our commitment to:
- Effective stewardship of Internet number resources in our region
- Community-driven policy development that serves the evolving needs of the Internet
- Transparency, collaboration, and accessibility in Internet governance
- Supporting Internet growth while ensuring long-term stability
The three arrows pointing forward are more than just design elements — they’re a visual representation of these commitments in action.
Our Foundation Remains Strong
It’s important to emphasize what hasn’t changed:
- Our mission to provide Internet number resource management services and facilitate public policy development remains unchanged.
- Our commitment to serving the Internet community in our region is as strong as ever.
- Our values of transparency, collaboration, and community-driven governance continue to guide everything we do.
The logo refresh is about presenting ARIN in a way that reflects who we are today while honoring the foundation we’ve built over nearly three decades.
Moving Forward Together
Over the coming weeks and months, you’ll see the refreshed logo across ARIN’s presence — on our website, in our communications, on our social media channels, and at ARIN 57 in April and beyond.
After 24 years, change can feel significant. But we hope this refresh feels like a natural evolution — honoring our legacy while positioning ARIN for the future ahead. The arrow design represents where we’re going, together with this community.
We’re excited to move forward.
Follow us on social media and join us at ARIN 57 (19-22 April in Lousiville, Kentucky, and online) to see the new logo in action!
