Posted: Thursday, 19 January 2023

Registration is now open for the ARIN 51 Public Policy and Members Meeting! The hybrid event will take place 16-19 April 2023 at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay in Tampa, Florida, and online via Zoom.

Register for ARIN 51

We are excited to provide opportunities for both virtual and in-person participation and hope you can join us for this free event. Our ARIN 51 agenda includes discussions of multiple draft policies, reports from our Board of Trustees and Advisory Council, and a variety of updates from ARIN staff and other Regional Internet Registries — and more! Stay tuned for a detailed agenda as we get closer to the event.

Planning to attend in person?

ARIN 51 will be held at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay in Tampa, Florida. For the agenda, hotel details, travel information, health and safety protocols, and more, visit https://arin.net/ARIN51. Be sure to reserve your room early at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay to take advantage of the ARIN 51 attendee discount.

For our in-person attendees, if you’re interested in learning more about ARIN’s Resource Public Key Infrastructure (RPKI) offerings and how it can help secure your resources, we encourage you to attend our ROA-thon on Sunday, 16 April. ARIN experts will help guide your first Route Origin Authorization (ROA) and answer any questions you may have about RPKI. Following the ROA-thon, drop by the ARIN 51 Happy Hour on Sunday evening and say hello to your colleagues. Then, on Monday evening, be a small fish in a big pond at the ARIN 51 social event at the Tampa Bay Aquarium. If you’re interested in attending any of these events, be sure to sign up when you register for ARIN 51.

Planning to attend virtually?

A link to access the virtual meeting will be emailed to all registered attendees each day before the meeting begins. In order to submit comments or questions and participate in polls on policy proposals, you must register for the meeting. The ARIN 51 chat in the Zoom webinar will be monitored to ensure that all of our attendees adhere to the ARIN Participants Expected Standards of Behavior.

For our virtual attendees, ARIN will host our popular Table Topics event on Tuesday, 18 April. With subjects ranging from IPv6 deployment to Internet number resource policy development (and more!), you’ll find plenty to talk about with members of the ARIN Advisory Council, Board of Trustees, ARIN staff, and others.

ARIN 51 Fellowship Program

Internet number resource policy is, like other areas of Internet governance, powered by community participation. To encourage and foster new voices and active members within the ARIN region community, the ARIN Fellowship Program provides a specialized, interactive learning opportunity to individuals interested in these aspects of Internet operations and their professional growth alongside it. Held in a hybrid format — with three virtual sessions leading up to ARIN 51 and the option to attend the meeting either in person or virtually — this program provides the framework for Fellows to dig deeper into discussions related to ARIN’s Policy Development Process and learn about ARIN’s work and services. Fellows will be paired with an ARIN community member mentor to guide them through the program.

The application period for the ARIN 51 Fellowship Program is open until 25 January 2023, and you can apply at https://arin.net/BeAFellow.

If you have questions or need additional information, please email fellowships@arin.net.

Meeting Orientation

Whether it’s your first ARIN meeting or your 51st, make sure to join us at our virtual Meeting Orientation on Thursday, 13 April, to find out how to make the most of your meeting experience. During the ARIN 51 registration process, choose the Meeting Orientation option to reserve your spot.

If you have any questions about ARIN 51 and its events, please email us at meetings@arin.net.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Regards,
