Third-Party Vendors and IPv6
To fulfill our mission, ARIN relies on many external third-party services. Though we actively seek vendors that are both IPv4- and IPv6-capable, there are several factors that are evaluated during the vendor selection process including cost, features, stability, security, and location. In some cases, finding a viable competitor that meets all these criteria can be challenging.
As of July 2026, ARIN has six third-party services that lack IPv6 capability:
- Eballot.com: An election service
- Statuspage.io: A status and incident communication tool
- SurveyMonkey: An online survey tool
- SurveyMonkey Apply: An online application portal
- Swoogo.com: A meeting registration service
- Tovuti: A learning management system
All external vendors are reevaluated at the time of contract renewal, which includes a scan for potential new vendors who may be better able to meet all selection criteria, including IPv6 capability.
