Route with Confidence: Practical RPKI at ARIN for Today’s Network Operators
Presented by Jon Worley, ARIN Senior Technology Architect
Tuesday, 14 April, 4-4:50 PM
Network administrators may occasionally announce IP addresses that don’t belong to them, either accidentally or intentionally. Incorrectly announced IP address blocks can disrupt entire networks. Additionally, hackers can exploit this by creating fake DNS records, leading users to malicious websites or software downloads. To prevent such scenarios, you can use Resource Public Key Infrastructure (RPKI), an opt-in service provided by ARIN. A member of ARIN’s technical team will explain everything you need to know to participate in ARIN’s RPKI service and enhance your routing security.
Attendees will:
- Learn the capabilities of ARIN’s OT&E environment
- Understand the benefits of Route Origin Validation (ROV)
- Pick up new troubleshooting tips and techniques to determine the RPKI validity state of their resources
