2025 ARIN Election Results

Elections

The 2025 ARIN Elections concluded at 7:00 PM ET on Friday, 7 November, and ARIN wishes to congratulate those elected by the community to serve on the Board of Trustees, Advisory Council (AC), and Number Resource Organization Number Council (NRO NC).

Board of Trustees

Lee Howard has been elected and incumbents Hank Kilmer and Rob Seastrom have been reelected to the Board of Trustees. Each will serve a three-year term starting 1 January 2026. The Board of Trustees thanks Christopher Holbert, James Lorimer, and Mark Thorpe for their participation in this year’s election. Their interest in contributing to ARIN’s future — and their concern for the governance of the organization and the Internet — are deeply appreciated, and we look forward to their continued participation.

Advisory Council

E. Marie Brierley has been elected and incumbents Gerry George, Brian Jones, Gus Reese, and Alison Wood have been reelected to the AC for three-year terms beginning 1 January 2026. The Board of Trustees thanks Ethan Angele, Matthew Cowen, Altie Jackson, Kendrick Knowles, Mohibul Mahmud, Caleb Ogundele, and Preston Louis Ursini for their participation in this year’s AC elections and looks forward to their continued involvement in our community, including Internet number resource policy development.

NRO Number Council

Alyssa Quinn has been elected to a seat on the NRO NC from the ARIN region. Her three-year term will begin 1 January 2026. The Board of Trustees wishes to thank Ahmad Enaya and Chris Grundemann for their participation as candidates in this year’s election and looks forward to their continued participation in the global Internet community.

Thanks and Appreciation

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation and thanks to our former Board of Trustees Chair Bill Sandiford, whose years of service to our community have made an impact on ARIN and its mission. We would also like to thank outgoing AC member Kendrick Knowles, who has done tremendous work in his role on the Advisory Council, and NRO NC member Nick Nugent, whose commitment to global Internet policy has helped shape the future of the Internet.

2025 Nomination Process Summary

In accordance with the ARIN Bylaws and ARIN Election Processes:

• A call for nominations for the Board of Trustees, AC, and NRO NC went out to the ARIN community via the ARIN Announce and General Members mailing lists and ARIN’s website. ARIN’s call for nominations closed at the specified date and time as publicly announced.
• The ARIN Nomination Committee confirmed the slate of candidates, noting assessed qualifications. Four nominations were received for the NRO NC, twelve nominations were received for the AC, and seven were received for the Board; all are present on the final slate of candidates except for one Board of Trustees nominee and one NRO NC nominee who withdrew their candidacy.
• ARIN’s President and CEO notified the General Membership of the slate of candidates.
• Candidate biographies were posted to the ARIN website and the Voting Contacts of all eligible General Members in Good Standing were sent an email with a link to the 2025 Voter Guide that contained the candidate biographies and were given the opportunity to read and post Statements of Support for each candidate.
• Each candidate was provided an opportunity to record a video addressing the community to be played at the ARIN 56 Public Policy and Members Meeting on Thursday, 30 October 2025.

2025 Election Process Summary

In accordance with the ARIN Bylaws:

• ARIN President and CEO John Curran certified a list of eligible member organizations and affiliated Voting Contacts. ARIN Elections Officer Bill Sandiford confirmed the President’s review.
• Online voting for eligible General Members in Good Standing began 30 October 2025 at 3:00 PM ET. Voting closed eight days later (7 November 2025 at 7:00 PM ET). All online votes were confirmed.
• Quorum in the Board and AC elections was achieved as ballots were cast by more than 5 percent of the total eligible General Membership.
• Adherence to approved voting procedures and the vote tally were confirmed by ARIN President and CEO John Curran, ARIN Elections Officer Bill Sandiford, and ARIN General Counsel Michael Abejuela.
• The results are provided below. The election process and results have been verified according to the requirements of the ARIN Bylaws.

• 1,679 ARIN General Members in total as of 15 September 2025
• 1,637 ARIN eligible organizations* as of 23 October 2025
• Active Participation Amongst ARIN General Membership: 772 ARIN General Members cast ballots (via 607 Voting Contacts)

*ARIN General Member in Good Standing with a properly registered Voting Contact linked to an ARIN Online account as of 23 October 2025 (the deadline for Voting Contact updates).
