ACSP Suggestion 2007.25: DNSSEC

Suggestion

Author: Ed Lewis
Submitted On: 24 July 2007

Description: I’ve asked before, but maybe my question wasn’t clear enough. “What will it take to get ARIN to sign in-addr.arpa?” The question should be taken in the sense of “Would it take a policy proposal for this?” (Probably not given the experience of 2007-1,2,3.) What I would like to hear is “What does ARIN need to hear from the community before a commitment is made to implement DNSSEC?” Should an application be made to the board? To the staff? I don’t think there’s a need to discuss the details of implementation in public, but what kind of discussion is needed?
