ACSP Suggestion 2023.12: Allow Greater Flexibility in Advanced Whois-RWS Search

Suggestion

Author: Tom Fantacone
Submitted On: 24 August 2023

Description: Allow greater flexibility in Advanced Whois-RWS Search including partial matches. Current searches require an exact match, including exact punctuation. A search for “ABC Corp” currently shows no results even if there’s an existing “ABC Corp.” (with period).

Value to Community: Organizations trying to determine if they have multiple Org IDs and wishing to clean this up have a hard time searching for these unless they know the exact spelling, abbreviation or punctuation used. Partial matches would be a big help.
