ACSP Suggestion 2011.9: Secure method to transmit confidential data to ARIN

Author: Andrew Koch
Submitted On: 18 February 2011

Description: Recommend implementing a secure method of transmitting confidential data to the resource analysts. While attempting to submit confidential data to an analyst today in support of a transfer, I was informed they cannot decrypt a PGP encrypted document nor PGP encrypted email. The offered alternatives were to send my confidential data clear-text or via FAX. If it is not feasible to accept PGP encrypted documentation, other secure drop-box type technology should implemented.
