ACSP Suggestion 2011.16: Online Bill Management

As is currently typical in the billing practices of most companies, ARIN should provide a way (via ARIN online) for registrants to view and manage their bills. Specifically, I am requesting the following capabilities:

  1. Ability to view current billing status for all linked ORGs.
  2. Ability for Admin (and Billing, if 2011.15 is implemented) POCs to view current outstanding balances.
  3. Ability for Admin (and Billing, if 2011.15 is implemented) POCs to view all current and previous invoices, up to at least 3 years prior but long if possible.
  4. Ability for Admin (and Billing, if 2011.15 is implemented) to easily pay any outstanding balance, without being directed through an independent and one-way workflow.

As expressed in suggestion 2011.15, ARIN registrants would benefit substantially from being able to specify billing information through normal ARIN channels. However, this separate suggestion concerns the ability to view and manage billing through ARIN online and offers significant benefit irrespective of the adoption of 2011.15.

Work to integrate billing functionality within ARIN Online is underway, and deployment scheduled is to start during the fourth quarter of this year. We plan on limited the past history view to two years, rather than three as per your suggestion. Also, we will allow for online payment via credit card, but because we use an outside vendor this process will reflect the current online payment system we have in place, i.e. click this button to pay by credit card and you will be directed to our credit card vendors website. The other aspects of your suggestion mirror our plan for this functionality. We appreciate your suggestion and useful input.
