ACSP Suggestion 2010.16: Legacy Registration Service Agreement Modification

Suggestion

Author: Owen DeLong
Submitted On: 16 August 2010

Description:

Under the ARIN Policy Development Process, the board will not ratify any policy which exclusively affects LRSA signatories in a manner inconsistent with its effect on other resource holders.

Per email:

John/Steve,
…. Bill makes a reasonable point here. Is there a way to, in the next round of LRSA mods, include something to the effect of:

Under the ARIN Policy Development Process, the board will not ratify any policy which exclusively affects LRSA signatories in a manner inconsistent with its effect on other resource holders.

=== In reply to ===

That’s probably not ideal wording, but, I hope it conveys the general idea and I hope smarter people can find better language. It does seem to me to be a reasonable request and consistent with the intent of the LRSA….

Thanks!

Thank you for your suggestion regarding additional language in ARIN’s Policy Development Process (PDP) which states ’the board will not ratify any policy which exclusively affects LRSA signatories in a manner inconsistent with its effect on other resource holders’ or similar. As John Curran mentioned in an initial response to you, we will run with it, specifically, I will forward this to the Policy Development Committee Chairman for evaluation and inclusion in the next version of the published PDP.

Thank you for your suggestion. ACSP 2010.16 will remain open until this issue is resolved with the Policy Development Committee.
