Elections
On Tuesday, 21 September 2021, ARIN announced the Initial Slate of Candidates in the upcoming ARIN Elections and opened the Call for Petitions. The submission of an intent to petition was due by 1:00 PM EDT, 28 September. At the close of the Call for Petitions, there are two petitioners with completed questionnaires who have requested to be added to the 2021 Final Slate of Candidates.
Board of Trustees Petition Nominees:
- Dan Alexander, Comcast Cable
- Ron da Silva, Quantum Loophole, Inc.
Each petitioner is individually seeking your support to be added to the 2021 Final Slate and thus appear on the ballot for ARIN Board of Trustees. In this election, there are two open seats up for election on the Board. The current Initial Slate of Candidates is available at:

How to Cast Support for Petitioners
To be added to the Final Slate, each petitioner must receive support from at least 124 member organizations, as indicated by their existing designated Voter Contact. Per the ARIN Bylaws, this is the established threshold of two-percent of eligible General Members in Good Standing (GMIGS), as of the opening of the Call for Nominations (18 June 2021).
As a Voter Contact for an eligible member organization, you can login to ARIN Online and select the “Cast Support” link that appears in your dashboard. You will be taken to our election vendor’s website, where you may indicate your support for one or both petitioners. These “signatures” must be submitted before 12:00 PM EDT on Monday, 18 October 2021. Additional instructions are available at:
https://www.arin.net/voting/.
Per the ARIN Election Process, the name and member organization affiliation(s) of Voting Contacts who cast support for a petition will not be made public, but ARIN will routinely share this information with the petitioner (this is to provide the petitioner visibility to their progress, as would be available when circulating a non-electronic petition.)
With the publication of the Final Slate of Candidates on Tuesday, 19 October 2021, any successful candidates by petition will be included on that slate. Successful candidates will also be included in additional election activities such as the Statements of Support, the Voter Guide, and the upcoming Election Forum.
