ARIN to Hold Meetings in Denver
Chantilly, VA – The ARIN XXI Public Policy and Members Meetings will take
place 6-9 April in Denver, Colorado, at the Grand Hyatt Downtown. About 150
representatives from Internet Service Providers, large corporations, governments, academia,
and civil society will attend ARIN XXI.
Sessions will cover issues like adoption of IPv6 – a newer numbering system for IP addresses
to replace the diminishing supply of IPv4 addresses – as well as Internet governance
activities, number resource statistics, and other technical and policy issues.
Meeting attendees will discuss eight community-drafted policy proposals on topics including
IPv4 depletion, IPv6 adoption, address space transfers, and IPv6 address space for community
networks.
Journalists are invited to attend the event that will bring members of the Internet community
together for three days of meetings on technical and policy issues that will help shape the
future of the Internet.
WHO: The American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN), a Regional Internet Registry that distributes IP addresses to Canada, many Caribbean and North Atlantic islands, and the United States.
