First Quarter Investigation Results

ARIN received 59 fraud reports in the first quarter of 2026.

  • 51 reports involved use by end users such as hacking, spam, and phishing that are outside the scope of ARIN’s fraud reporting process. We informed these reporters ARIN could not act on their reports.
  • 3 reports involved potential violations of ARIN’s regional use policy. Our investigation is ongoing.

  • 2 reports involved groups of organizations under common control used to bypass ARIN policy related to the IPv4 waiting list and reserved IPv4 pool to facilitate IPv6 deployment policy. Our investigation is ongoing.
    • Tickets: 20260112-F7906, 20260118-F7910
  • 1 report involved unauthorized routing. The routes were withdrawn.

  • 1 report involved invalid contact information. Our investigation is ongoing.
    • Ticket: 20260206-F7920
  • 1 report involved an unauthorized transfer. Our investigation is ongoing.
