ARIN-prop-235: Clarify generic references to "IP Addresses" in NRPM [Archived]

OUT OF DATE?

Here in the Vault, information is published in its final form and then not changed or updated. As a result, some content, specifically links to other pages and other references, may be out-of-date or no longer available.

Proposal Originator: Owen DeLong

Date: 27 January 2017

Problem Statement:

This is intended as an editorial change. It is trivial and does not change the meaning of policy.

In section 4 there are 7 references and 1 in section 10.5 (Global IPv4 exhaustion) to the term “IP Address(es)” which are not specific as to IP version even though the intent is specifically IPv4 addresses.

Policy statement:

Change the references in the following sections to “IP Address(es)” to “IPv4 Address(es)”

4.2.1.1
4.2.1.4
4.2.3.3
4.2.3.6 (2 references)
4.2.3.8
4.3.1
10.5

Comments:

Timetable for implementation: Immediate

Anything else: This is a trivial change which improves the clarity of the NRPM and should be quite simple to implement.
