1. Welcome & Agenda Review

The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:03 a.m. EST. The presence of quorum was noted.

2. Confirmation of ARIN Elections

The ARIN Board and ARIN Advisory Council elections closed on Saturday, 03 November 2012. The Board needs to confirm the winners. Winners will be announced by Saturday, 10 November 2012.

ARIN Board of Trustees Election Results. On the following persons were elected to the ARIN Board of Trustees for a three-year term commencing 01 January 2013:

  • Paul Andersen
  • Aaron Hughes

It was moved by Scott Bradner, and seconded by Paul Vixie, that:

“The ARIN Board of Trustees confirms the results of the ARIN Board of Trustees Election concluded on 03 November 2012.”

The President reviewed the results with the Board stating that voter quorum reached 10.5%, representing 386 ballots cast out of a total electorate of 3735 eligible voters, and noted that the Secretary, President, and General Counsel confirmed the count of ballots independently. Paul Andersen had received 209 votes, and Aaron Hughes received 137 votes.

The remaining candidates received the following number of votes: 108 for Ron da Silva; 97 for Martin Levy; 73 for William Herrin; 67 for Dave Siegel; and, 35 for Josh Snowhorn.

The Chair called for a roll call vote. The motion carried unanimously.

ARIN Advisory Council Election Results. On the following persons were elected to the ARIN Advisory Council commencing 01 January 2013:

  • Bill Sandiford (3 year term)
  • Heather Schillerm (3 year term)
  • Stacy Hughes (3 year term)
  • Rob Seastrom (3 year term)
  • John Springer (3 year term)
  • Milton Mueller (1 year term)

It was moved by Scott Bradner, and seconded by Vint Cerf, that:

“The ARIN Board of Trustees confirms the results of the ARIN Advisory Council Election concluded on 03 November 2012.”

The President noted that there were 392 ballots cast out of a total electorate of 3735 eligible voters, that the election procedures were properly followed, and that the Secretary, President, and General Counsel confirmed the count of the ballots independently.

The President reviewed the results with the Board stating that voter quorum reached 10.5%. Bill Sandiford received 265 votes; Heather Schiller received 242 votes; Stacy Hughes received 239 votes; Robert Seastrom received 221 votes; John Springer received 188 votes, and Milton Mueller received 176 votes.

The remaining candidates received the following number of votes: 173 for Jesse Geddis; 167 for Brandon Ross; 153 for Frank Hoonhout; and 114 for George Morton.

The Chair called for a roll call vote. The motion carried unanimously.

General Counsel provided an attorney-client privileged brief under Executive Session to the Board at this time (9:15 a.m. EST). The Board exited Executive Session at 9:17 a.m. EST.

3. Adjournment

The Chair entertained a motion to adjourn at 9:17 a.m. EST. Scott Bradner moved to adjourn, seconded by Paul Vixie. The motion carried with no objections.
