The consultancy firm ITEMS International is conducting an organizational review of the ICANN Address Supporting Organization (ASO). The aim of the survey is to assess how well the ASO has been performing within the ICANN system and to determine whether any change in its structure or operations is desirable to improve its effectiveness.

As part of this review, ITEMS is conducting a global survey that is primarily targeted at the five Regional Internet Registry (RIR) communities. We strongly encourage you to take part in this online survey. It consists mainly of multiple-choice questions and should take less than 5 minutes to complete

The survey is available until 31 October 2011 at: http://www.items.fr/aso.php

Information about the 15-member ASO, comprised of three representatives from each RIR region, is available at: http://aso.icann.org/internet-community/what-is-the-aso/

This is a rare opportunity to express your views in strict confidence regarding this critical component of the ICANN system, and ITEMS encourages your participation.

Best regards,
