Timothy Denton has been elected and Bill Woodcock has been re-elected to the ARIN Board of Trustees. Each will serve a three-year term commencing 1 January 2009. The ARIN Board of Trustees congratulates Timothy and Bill and looks forward to working with them.
The Board wishes to thank Vikas Khanna and Richard Swee for their participation as candidates in the Board of Trustees election, and encourages their continued participation in the ARIN community.
ARIN congratulates Dan Alexander and Bill Darte on their re-election to the ARIN Advisory Council. In addition, ARIN congratulates the following individuals on their election to the ARIN Advisory Council: Marc Crandall, David Farmer, and John Sweeting. Each will serve a three-year term beginning 1 January 2009.
The ARIN Board of Trustees wishes to thank Scott Beuker, Kent Claussen, Chris Grundemann, Matt Pounsett, Alex Rubenstein, and John Spence for their participation as candidates in the Advisory Council election and looks forward to their continued involvement in ARIN’s activities.

Nomination Process
In accordance with the ARIN Bylaws:
- A call for ARIN Board of Trustees and Advisory Council nominations went out to ARIN members via the arin-announce@arin.net mailing list and ARIN’s website.
- Nominations closed at the specified date and time.
- All eligible nominations for the Board of Trustees and Advisory Council were put forth to the general membership.
- Candidate biographies were posted to the ARIN website.
- Each candidate was given an opportunity to address the ARIN membership at the ARIN XXII Members Meeting in Los Angeles on 17 October 2008.
Election Process
In accordance with the ARIN Bylaws:
- Online voting for General Members in good standing began 17 October 2008, at 12:00 PM ET.
- Voting closed one week later on 24 October 2008, at 12:00 PM ET.
- All online votes were required to be confirmed.
- The votes were tallied by ARIN President Raymond Plzak, ARIN Secretary Scott Bradner, and ARIN General Counsel Stephen Ryan.
- The results are provided below. The election process and results have been verified according to the requirements in the ARIN Bylaws.
