Funded by an anonymous donor, the Postel Network Operator’s Scholarship is established to enable one deserving network operator to attend the annual Joint NANOG and ARIN meetings and thus continue to build on the legacy of Jon’s lifetime contribution to the Internet. The Internet Society (ISOC) will administer the fund with the recipient selected jointly by the NANOG Steering Committee and the ARIN Board of Trustees. At its 6 January meeting, the ARIN Board selected Trustee Bill Manning to be its representative in this capacity.
