Transfers and Membership
Transfers of Direct Allocations
Automatic membership based on a direct allocation of IP address space from ARIN is terminated when the address space is transferred to another entity. On the day the transfer process is complete, membership and the accompanying voting rights are transferred to the entity acquiring the direct allocation of address space.
If an Automatic Member Organization transfers away their only direct allocation, then their membership status is removed. If an Automatic Member organization transfers a direct allocation while retaining another direct allocation, they remain a Member and the recipient organization becomes a new Member as well.
Transfers and Voting
When the transfer process is complete, membership and the accompanying voting rights are transferred to the entity acquiring the address space. The recipient’s membership join date is the day the transfer is complete.
