We are modifying our mailing lists to support DMARC in response to community suggestion ASCP 2017.11: Mailing List Support of DMARC (https://www.arin.net/vault/participate/acsp/suggestions/2017-11.html). The behavior of our mailing lists will change on 5 April 2018.

When we implement DMARC support, the only change subscribers will see is that messages sent to the mailing list will be addressed as coming from the mailing list rather than from participant on the mailing list who sent the email. Depending on the mail user agent, this will change from “user name” to “user name via mailing list” . Technically, mail from the list will change from:

    # From: sender@example.com
    # To: mailinglist@arin.net
    # X-Sender: sender@example.com

To:

    # From: sender--- via Mailing-list \<mailinglist@arin.net\>
    # To: mailinglist@arin.net
    # X-Sender: sender@example.com
    # Reply-To: sender@example.com

This email is for informational purposes only, and subscribers do not need to take any action related to this change.
