ARIN XXVII has a couple changes to the normal premeeting/Open Policy Hour agenda. The timing and content of both the Open Policy Hour and First Timer sessions have changed.

The Open Policy Hour (OPH) will now take place Tuesday afternoon within the Public Policy Meeting. The OPH is not for discussion of draft policies that are already on the ARIN XXVII agenda. It is for new ideas and suggestions. If you have a policy idea that you would like to receive feedback on prior to submitting a proposal, this is your opportunity.

Sign up by Friday, 1 April to ensure your chance to take the microphone. Send an email to policy@arin.net with your name, organization, and a general description of the policy subject you wish to present. You do not need to have a formal presentation in order to participate. Signing up in advance allows us to confirm your turn to present, but is not required.

The First Timers Orientation will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday. This session will be an “ARIN 101”, an overview of the Policy Development Process, and a preview of the Draft Policies which will be presented and discussed later at the Public Policy Meeting. You don’t have to be a first timer to attend, all are welcome.

Hope to see you there!
