ARIN will soon issue a call for nominations for the 2007 Board of Trustees election.

A Nomination Committee (NomCom) is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and certifying a properly selected slate of candidates for the ARIN Board of Trustees to be placed in nomination before the General Membership for election (Bylaws, Article VI, Section 4.c.).

NomCom business is conducted via teleconference. The responsibilities of the Committee are explained in the Bylaws at:
http://www.arin.net/about_us/corp_docs/bylaws.html

The NomCom consists of two (2) representatives from the Board of Trustees, two (2) representatives from the Advisory Council, and three (3) representatives from ARIN General Members in good standing. General Member in good standing is defined at:
http://www.arin.net/membership/index.html#gmigs

We are currently seeking three (3) volunteer General Members in good standing to serve on the Committee. Please note that candidates for this year’s Board of Trustees election are not eligible to serve on the NomCom. If you are willing to serve, please submit your name, email address, ARIN member organization name, and ORG ID to info@arin.net no later than 23:59 ET on Thursday, 19 July 2007. Three eligible member volunteers will be randomly selected to serve on the Committee.
