The Address Council of the Address Supporting Organization (ASO AC) has announced the 5th ASO General Assembly Meeting, to be held on Wednesday, 5 May 2004 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

This meeting will be hosted by the RIPE NCC alongside the RIPE 47 Meeting and will be open to all parties with an interest in ASO policy matters. A detailed meeting agenda will be forthcoming on the ASO website at: http://www.aso.icann.org.

The ASO AC and ICANN have announced the Call for Nominations for candidates to fill an ASO seat on the ICANN Board of Directors. A seat becomes vacant in May 2004, with the expiration of Lyman Chapins term. Due to geographic diversity requirements, eligible nominees must come from North America, South America, and Europe.

Details on the Call and nominating procedures can be found on the ASO website at:

https://www.aso.icann.org/.

I encourage you to actively consider and propose candidates for this position.
