On March 28, 2003, ARIN is closing down the IP Allocations Policies Working Group mailing list (policy@arin.net). Over the years and at the current time, policy discussions have taken place on the Public Policy Mailing List (ppml@arin.net). The Public Policy Mailing List (PPML) will remain active as the list for all policy discussions. If you are not already subscribed to PPML, you may find subscription information at:

http://www.arin.net/mailing_lists/.

The archive of the IP Allocations Policy mailing list will be preserved for historical purposes. The mailing list archive will remain available on the ARIN website at the above URL.

In addition, on that same day, we will open the ARIN Announce mailing list to the general public. Any interested person may subscribe to the mailing list and receive emails. However, only ARIN staff can broadcast information to the list.

All announcements relating to ARIN meetings, elections, and activities will be made through ARIN Announce, and may posted on the website. We will continue to send notification of policy discussions to both ARIN Announce and the Public Public Policy Mailing List (ppml@arin.net).

In opening ARIN Announce to the public, duplicate announcements concerning events and elections will no longer be sent to the PPML.

The entire Internet community is invited and encouraged to participate in the discussion of policy proposals on the Public Policy Mailing List, and to be kept aware of ARIN activities through the ARIN Announce Mailing List. Subscription information for all ARIN mailing lists is available on our Mailing List page.
