Suspended - Policy for the African Portion of the ARIN Region

Section 4.8, Policy for the African Portion of the ARIN Region, of the ARIN Number Resource Policy Manual is suspended effective today, April 18, 2005.

On March 8, 2005 the ARIN Board of Trustees accepted the recommendation from the ARIN Advisory Council to suspend section 4.8 of the Number Resource Policy Manual upon ICANN's recognition of AfriNIC as an RIR. On April 8, 2005 ICANN granted AfriNIC formal recognition as an RIR. 

Formal removal of section 4.8 from the NRPM will proceed in accordance with the ARIN Internet Resource Policy Evaluation Process.
