2004 ARIN Board of Trustees and Advisory Council Election Results

Bill Manning and Paul Vixie have been elected to the ARIN Board of Trustees. Each will serve a three-year term commencing January 1, 2005. The ARIN Board of Trustees congratulates Bill and Paul and looks forward to working with them.
The Board wishes to thank Lee Howard, Aaron Hughes, David Kessens, Alec Peterson, and Barry Shein for their participation as candidates in the election, wishes them well in their future endeavors, and encourages them to remain active in the activities of ARIN.
ARIN would also like to congratulate the following individuals on their election to the ARIN Advisory Council: Paul Andersen, Marla Azinger, Ron da Silva, Alex Rubenstein, and Cathy Wittbrodt. Each will serve a three-year term beginning January 1, 2005.
The ARIN Board of Trustees wishes to thank Owen DeLong, Alan Levin, Michael Loevner, Gregory Massel, Bill Sangiwa, and Scott Shackelford for their participation as candidates in the election and looks forward to their continued participation in the activities of ARIN.

Nomination Process
In accordance with the ARIN Bylaws:
- A call for ARIN Board of Trustees and Advisory Council nominations went out to ARIN members via the arin-announce mailing list and ARIN's website
- Nominations closed at the specified date and time
- All eligible nominations for the Board of Trustees and Advisory Council were put forth to the general membership
- Candidate biographies were posted to the ARIN website
- Each candidate was given an opportunity to address the ARIN membership at the ARIN XIV Members Meeting in Reston, Virginia, on October 22, 2004.
Election Process
In accordance with the ARIN Bylaws:
- Online voting for the ARIN members began October 25, 2004, at 09:00 ET
- Voting closed 1 week later on November 1, 2004, at 09:00 ET
- All online votes were required to be confirmed by the voter by 12:00 ET on November 1
- The votes were tallied by ARIN President Raymond A. Plzak, ARIN Secretary Scott Bradner, and ARIN Counsel Steve Ryan
- The results are provided below. The election process and results have been verified according to the requirements in the ARIN Bylaws.
